Andrew Prokos, based in New York City, started photography at age 20, after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Political Science. His professional photography career started in 2002, and started with interactive advertising, and now focuses on architecture and fine art. He uses large-scale urban settings to capture the busyness of city life, and uses long-exposure to provide a painting-like blur of light. For his black and white photos, he uses heavy contrast between the buildings and the sky to draw the focus towards the architecture.
